(CUMMING, GA) – Sawnee EMC has earned a high score based on customer ratings analyzed by the American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI®) a national group who measures customer satisfaction across multiple industries throughout the entire United States.*

For 2024, Sawnee EMC received an ACSI score of 94 on a 100-point scale. Sawnee’s score is higher when compared to publicly measured investor-owned utility scores reported in the syndicated 2024 ACSI Energy Utility Study and places Sawnee 19 points higher than the average municipal utilities score of 75, per the industry ratings.

This year’s ACSI data demonstrates Sawnee EMC continues to remain at the top with regard to overall customer satisfaction among participating Touchstone Energy cooperatives.  In reviewing year to date ACSI data, from January to June, there are only twenty-two (22) scores of 90 or greater received by other electric cooperatives participating in ACSI measurement within Touchstone Energy®.

As a not-for-profit electric cooperative, Sawnee EMC operates such that its actions are meant solely in the best interest of its member-owners; and the electric cooperative business model allows Sawnee EMC’s staff and Board of Directors to make member satisfaction a top priority.  To that end, Sawnee EMC celebrates its 86th anniversary on July 16, 2024 with a mission of providing its members reliable, competitively priced and safe electric service.

Michael A. Goodroe, Sawnee EMC President and CEO, states, “This year’s ACSI score provides a unique benchmark for us and our members and is a great measure of our members overall satisfaction with us as a company.  Our score further demonstrates that the staff of Sawnee EMC exists to serve its members and provide reliable, affordable and safe electricity every day.  We strive to accomplish these goals with one of our greatest assets - our knowledgeable staff and their dedication to member satisfaction.”
