(CUMMING, GA) – Sawnee EMC recently received an exceptional score based on customer ratings analyzed by the American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI®), a national group who measures customer satisfaction across multiple industries throughout the entire United States.*  For 2025, Sawnee EMC received an ACSI score of 94 on a 100-point scale. Energy utility related ACSI scores compiled by Touchstone Energy recognized that Sawnee EMC received the highest score during the 2nd Quarter of 2025.

This year’s ACSI data demonstrates that Sawnee EMC continues to remain at the top with regard to overall customer satisfaction among participating Touchstone Energy cooperatives. Sawnee EMC’s score is higher when compared to publicly measured cooperative utility scores reported in the syndicated ACSI Energy Utility Study.  This places Sawnee EMC 20 points higher than the average investor-owned utility score of 74 and 19 points higher than the average municipal utility score of 75.

As a not-for-profit electric cooperative, Sawnee EMC operates such that its actions are meant solely in the best interest of its member-owners; and the electric cooperative business model allows Sawnee EMC’s staff and Board of Directors to make member satisfaction a top priority.  To that end, Sawnee EMC celebrates its 87th anniversary on July 16, 2025 and keeps its mission of providing members with reliable and safe electric service, at competitive prices.

Michael A. Goodroe, Sawnee EMC President and CEO, states, “This year’s ACSI score provides a unique benchmark for us and our members and is a great measure of our members overall satisfaction with us as their cooperative.  Our score further demonstrates that the Sawnee EMC staff works with one goal, to serve the members and provide them great service every day.  We strive to accomplish these goals with one of our greatest assets - our knowledgeable staff and their dedication to member satisfaction.”
